About us
Join us for an afternoon of poetry and music. Through fun writing exercises and games suitable for all ages and abilities, we will learn about the connection between poetry and music, some basic poetry techniques, and write music-inspired poems.
All attendees will then be invited to read and perform as part of a live jam band, as we all take on the role of performing poets and musicians, feeding off of one another, expressing ourselves, and each taking our turn in the spotlight.
No writing or music experience is needed, all abilities are welcome, and appropriate worksheets will be provided for KS1 and KS2 children. Our facilitator has experience in studying and teaching poetry, and has been publishing his work in print and online for over fifteen years.
If you'd like to play an instrument, please read and follow the link in the confirmation message after checking out.
