Come join us for the second edition of Spoonfest, a one-of-a-kind event celebrating the art of spoon making! Get ready for a day filled with creativity, fun, and of course, spoons!

Hosted at Flameworks Creative Arts Facility, this in-person event will involve you working with a number of Flameworks' highly talented studio holders and covering a wide range of disciplines. There will be makers working in metals, ceramics, glass, wood and maybe even fabric to teach you how to create you own spoons. They will help and enable you to realise your wonderful spoons, working throughout Flameworks in both artist's studios and the communal workshop areas.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced maker, Spoonfest #2 offers something for everyone. Immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere where you can learn new carving techniques, combining different materials, and connect with fellow spoon lovers. Our talented makers will guide you through hands-on workshops, sharing their expertise and passion for their craft.

A range of materials will be supplied but we encourage you to bring along materials of your own including wood, driftwood, plastics, binding materials (string, leather, yarn etc) metals, shells, all manner of flotsam and jetsam and found objects...to help customise and personalise your spoons.

There will be prizes awarded for "The Most Beautiful Spoon" and "The Most Outrageous Spoon"!
