About us
In this fun fused glass taster session, you will use top-quality Bullseye glass to make a beautiful 10cm x 10cm summer-inspired fused glass picture which will look lovely framed or hanging in a sunny spot or it can be fused flat into a coaster. Your picture might be flower meadow, a beach scene or a more abstract piece inspired by summer colours or you can choose your own theme. The design possibilities are endless!
Annette Daly, a professional glass maker and tutor will be on hand to help bring your ideas to life in glass. Although glass cutting is not required for this short session, you can have a go at this fun skill if you wish. There will be a wide selection of top-quality Bullseye glass and accessory glass for you to use, some of which is exclusive to Annette Daly Glass.
This course is suitable for both adults and children (from 5 years +) and no previous experience of glass is required. Ideally children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult who can either book their own space and make their own piece or come along for free to supervise. However as my studio is quite small, free spaces are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. If your child is younger than 12 and you have been unable to book a free space and do not wish to make your own piece, please stay close by (e.g. in the Ocean Studios Café or courtyard) in case your child needs you during the course and leave your contact number with me.
Your glass picture will be fired in a specialist glass kiln after the course and will be available to collect from Ocean Studios a week to 10 days later or it can be posted to you (postage costs are charged at cost).
The course will be run in a small group to ensure lots of individual attention and is subject to a minimum number of people attending. If less than the minimum number sign up to this workshop, you can transfer to another session or get a full refund.
