About us
We are delighted to welcome Ruth Mitchell's performance of The Secret Listener to Bodmin Keep.Ruth Mitchell explores the mysterious true story of Olive Myler, an ordinary woman from a small Devon hamlet who was recruited by the British Secret Services during World War Two as a Voluntary Interceptor.
Olive's work, listening in to German Secret Service radio and recording encrypted messages, was decoded at Bletchley Park.
Through fact and anecdote, The Secret Listener weaves together Olive's unique story and Ruth's own family history. Covering over half a century, the show visits three countries, revealing two unique stories connected by an old violin.
There are two performances showing on the same day; a matinee performance at 2pm at Bodmin Keep and an evening show at The Old Library at 7:30pm
