About us

James and Marie offer you a very warm welcome to the Mariners Guesthouse, one of the best guesthouses in Plymouth. Mariners offers some of the highest quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Plymouth and is conveniently located only 150 yards from the seafront and adjacent to the famous Plymouth Hoe.

Mariners is a classic four storey Victorian house kept to a very high standard of cleanliness and decor. All rooms have en-suite facilities and a relaxed feel. Our award-winning breakfast is served in a modern breakfast room with a choice of continental or cooked breakfast. Our cooked breakfasts are cooked to order using locally sourced ingredients and we even offer Vegetarian & Vegan options if required. An early breakfast can also be arranged for your convenience.

Green Promise

As Plymouths only Green tourism awarded guest house we pride ourselves on being as eco-friendly as possible. We have Solar panels for electric and solar thermodynamic panels for hot water. We also belong to Surfers against sewage and we have removed as much plastic from our guest house as is practical and we run an all-electric car. Come and experience a stay with us and pick up some tips.

Location

A pleasant walk along the seafront will take you to the Barbican, famous for its cobbled streets, quaint shops, Elizabethan houses, pubs and restaurants. The city centre is nearby, Plymouth Pavilions, Theatre Royal, National Marine Aquarium, Royal Citadel and University of Plymouth are all within easy walking distance.

Transport

If you are arriving by train or coach, we are only a short distance from either station. The Continental Ferry Port is only a few minutes away. We are open all year round. There is on road parking opposite the guesthouse available, ask a member of the team about purchasing a permit.

For whatever reason you are visiting Plymouth, we look forward to welcoming you to the Mariners Guesthouse.
