There’s plenty of things for you to enjoy in Plymouth this weekend besides the UEFA Euro 2020 Final.

Here’s our top five to help you make the most of your weekend.

Explore an underwater world

It may be a bit drizzly this weekend so taking a visit to the National Marine Aquarium is a great family activity. Home to over 4,000 animals and ground breaking Ocean conservation work, it’s the largest Aquarium in the UK. See a variety of immersive and engaging opportunities to learn about the marine environment through ocean education for all ages.

See a show

You will go to the ball.  Book your ticket to see the Birmingham Royal Ballet’s full-length live production of Cinderella in Plymouth.

On at the Theatre Royal Plymouth, until10 July 2021.  Tickets subject to availability.

See some art

Visit The Box Plymouth and enjoy the 'Our Art' exhibition showcasing Plymouth's fantastic art collections and provides a place to look, discuss, question and engage with the city's rich history of art.

Book your visit.

Enjoy a walk

For something a bit more energetic enjoy the beautiful grounds at Saltram. There are lots of dog-friendly walking routes around the park, including a circular route which starts and finishes in the car park and takes you down to the banks of the River Plym.

Parking costs £3 or is free for National Trust members, remember to check the latest visiting guidelines before you visit.

Eat some cake

Treat yourself to a chocolate cream tea or a delicious selection of cakes and chocolates at Chocaccino this weekend in the Barbican.

Plymouth is easily accessible by train with a wide range of services running from a variety of locations within England. Although some services may require a change or two.

Travelling from London takes around 3 hours with Great Western Railway, if you're coming from the north, the trip from Manchester can take 5 hours 15 minutes.

Alternatively, the recently renovated Night Riviera Sleeper service runs Monday – Friday and Sunday evenings. Visit gwr.com/sleeper for more details on times and how to book.

We recommend using GWR.com to search for the fastest and best route for your journey, and book in advance for the best price.
