Dine out right next to the action on Bonfire Night by visiting one of the many delightful venues dotted across Plymouth Hoe.

If tapas takes your fancy, Maritimo is a must for you, with a wide range of authentic Spanish dishes destined to make you feel as if you're in Las Ramblas. The paella of the day is a must and it goes down a treat with the stunning view of Plymouth Sound by your side. 

If you're after a more laid-back vibe, then order a drink and kick back at The Terrace Cafe or Pier One. Both offer food menu throughout the day and boast stunning views out to sea from their picturesque locations.

Enjoy fine dining with the perfect backdrop of the blue sea at Ocean View. The venue offers a wide range of local produce from light bites to rich desserts and is within a stone's throw of the Bonfire Night action. 

         

The Barbican and Sutton Harbour

If you're looking to try out one of the region's most loved dishes, fish and chips, flock down to  one of Plymouth's most historic areas, the Barbican. Indulge in sustainably caught fish at favourites including Rockfish next to the National Marine Aquarium, or look out other Sutton Harbour at Harbour Seafood Restaurant.

Sample the seafood in style at Pier Masters and gaze across the water to Mount Batten or tuck into fish that The Boathouse have caught that same day next to the iconic Mayflower Steps.

If seafood doesn't take your fancy you aren't missing out on places to go! Head to sourdough pizza specialists The Stable, and enjoy a thin-crust pizza from their rooftop terrace which overlooks The Barbican and Sutton Harbour.

Whether it's unbeatable classics at The West Hoe Pub, all-day delights at Ocean City Cafe, or mouthwatering fish and chips at West Hoe Fish and Chips there is a vast array of cultural cravings to tuck into. 

If you are looking to dine next to the waves The Waterfront Pub is a must with its freshly sourced menu and generous seating area on West Hoe. Alternatively, if you are looking for a taste of china, visit to the Wet Wok. Perched just above the waves and within a short walk from the Hoe, the restaurant specialises in Chinese cuisine and has been awarded a Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice Award for 2023. 

Head further along the water's edge and you'll visit Jolly Jacks Waterfront Bar and Bistro. Their menu focuses heavily on the finest catches of the day, allowing the quality produce to showcase itself. From here you can eat well, relax and take in the view of the Mayflower Marina and the iconic Royal William Yard.

   

Royal William Yard

Head to the Royal William Yard, the largest collection of frade one listed former military buildings in Europe, and check out the hub of restaurants in within it's iconic archways. 

Arrive by land or by sea thanks to the ferry and yacht moorings, and indulge at one of the many restaurants by the waterside.
