Get hooked on Seafest this weekend, with 10 top things to see and do!

Get ready for a wave of excitement as Seafest makes a splash across Plymouth’s waterfront, with an action-packed weekend of delectable food and sea-themed fun - spreading right across the waterfront.

Celebrating Plymouth Sound National Marine Park, our city’s connection to the sea, with a wave of activities at Seafest, funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund and Plymouth Waterfront Partnership businesses.

Explore Seafest with sustainable travel options, including half price boat travel, on the Waterlink Ferry sponsored by Plymouth Boat Trips, the Mount Batten Ferry, and free weekend travel on Plymouth Citybus throughout September.

Enjoy delicious dishes and family fun

The Barbican and Sutton Harbour is the festival’s foodie hotspot, with local chefs creating inspiring dishes from the Cookery Theatre on The Parade, sponsored by PL1 Events. You can stroll through the array of trader stalls selling delicious food, gifts and sea-themed crafts.

For hands-on fun, activities and marine conservation, head to Quay Square and explore the Discovery marquee.

Listen to the sounds of Seafest

Enjoy live music at the Mayflower Steps throughout the weekend, alongside colourful roaming street entertainers bringing extra fun to the waterfront.

Meet the Robot Dog!

Head over to the University of Plymouth stand on The Parade, where you can meet their very own four legged robot, get involved with interactive activities and find out more about life at the University.

Get out on the water

Take to the water with Plymouth Boat Trips, or the Ocean Conservation Trust (OCT) to explore the UK’s first National Marine Park! The OCT boat trips offer a unique and enriching experience, where you’ll gain a deeper understanding of marine life and conservation efforts. Book your tickets.

Make a splash!

Cool off at Tinside Lido, and enjoy the sounds from DJ Jozzy on Saturday, and look out for the mermaid and glowing jellyfish stilt walkers.

Catch up with family fun at Royal William Yard

Visit Royal William Yard for more Seafest family fun, and enjoy a packed weekend of heritage discovery and guided walks to hands-on crafts, mini golf, inflatables and exhibitions, plus a live DJ Aldo Vanucci! 

Get hands-on with Blue Sparks

Check out the Blue Sparks interactive galleries and take part in workshops including, making your own tide clock out of recycled plastic and printing pictures using the power of the sun.

Head out on the water

Take to the sea and go at stand-up paddleboarding with South West SUP at Royal William Yard, or sea swimming in safe group settings. Across the weekend there are various sessions you can get involved in.

Step back in time

Head to Mount Edgcumbe and explore a packed weekend of history, heritage, and activity across the whole weekend.  Free walking tours will explore Plymouth and Mount Edgcumbe’s maritime past, including links to Captain Cook and Charles Darwin. Book your tickets.
