Meavy

Meavy

About us

Meavy is a small and pretty village and part of the civil parish of Burrator, in south west Dartmoor. It lies a mile or so east of Yelverton and is surrounded by rolling hills and a babbling river. In the centre of the village lies The Royal Oak Inn, a superb pub which serves local food and a warm welcome. Every year there is the Meavy Oak Fair in June which includes a fun run, stalls, face painting and pony rides. There is also a school, village green and good quality places to stay such as Callisham Farm or Hoo Meavy Barton.
