About us
We offer tailored SUP tuition and paddleboard hire based from our unique waterfront location at Firestone Arch, Royal William Yard, Plymouth.
With a focus on giving you the ultimate experience, we keep the group sizes small and can guarantee you will be stand up paddling by the end of one of our sessions.
We provide you with a top of the range Red paddle Co paddleboard, adjustable paddle and optional wetsuit.
Bespoke sessions available on request.

BOARD HIRE

Designed for use across a wide range of conditions, by all kinds of riders. The shorter models are better suited to surf conditions, while the longer wider models are aimed at the bigger paddler or at families who will be paddling together on one board.
The Red Paddle Co 10’6” Ride and 10’8” Ride are available for hire. Simply request your preferance on booking.
MEMBERSHIP
After you have paddled with SOUTH WEST SUP once you can choose to become a member for free. You can then access our members SUP sessions up to 4 days a week. All sessions are 1 hour long and run by our qualified and experienced instructors and are limited to 10 paddlers per session to ensure you still get quality tuition and safety cover (so book early). Members sessions are suitable for all and we provide all equipment, warm changing facilities and safe storage for your gear.
Drakes Island SUP Adventure
Visit Drake’s Island by SUP and enjoy a delicious cream tea or coffee and pastries on the beach with this National Marine Park bookable experience. Learn about the amazing history, wildlife and marine ecology of the island and Plymouth Sound. You will also have the opportunity to swim, rockpool and beachcomb on a secluded stretch of golden sand.
