Caribbean al-fresco food bar open on Plymouth’s historic waterfront
21st September 2018
Caribbean food bar Fusion Cuisine is bringing some spice to Sutton Harbour. Setting up in Quay Square along Plymouth’s historic waterfront overlooking the Marina, Fusion Cuisine is serving an exotic blend of Caribbean, Oriental and Mediterranean foods.
With a passion for local food and global flavours, Fusion Cuisine sources the finest ingredients and offers Jamaican-inspired classics such as curried goat and jerk chicken, and a special Sunday roast.
Fusion Cuisine is also taking advantage of the fantastic fresh fish landed daily at nearby Plymouth Fisheries to serve up whole griddled fish of the day, and other menu options include skewered meats, seasonal soups and smoothies, as well as a range of vegetarian and vegan meals.
The food bar is also available for hire to cater for events and special occasions with a bespoke menu designed by owner and chef, Euten Lindsey.
Euten Lindsey said he was proud and honored to be a part of the community in Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, and can’t wait to launch his business at Quay Square in Sutton Harbour.
“I am very excited,” Euten said. “This a historical moment, not only for me and my business, but for Plymouth as well. I believe we’re the first independent, traditional Caribbean-style eatery in the area, and we bring innovation, diversity and a taste of Caribbean culture which I think is essential in these modern times.
“Our food is nutritious, great value for money and I guarantee it’ll tantalize people’s taste buds.”
The al-fresco style eatery is the latest restaurant to establish itself in Sutton Harbour.
With The Greek and Daisy’s Tea Rooms and Café recently opening their doors, along with a new wine lounge and deli, HonkyTonk, set to open at the end of September, the addition of Fusion Cuisine helps to cement Sutton Harbour as a major food and drink destination within Plymouth.
Mark Slade of Bruton Knowles, letting agents for Sutton Harbour Holdings plc, said: “We are delighted to welcome Fusion Cuisine to Sutton Harbour and believe its mix of local and global flavours will bring something different and unique to the area.
“This is an exciting time in Sutton Harbour’s food and drink scene and Fusion Cuisine is an excellent new addition to the offering of the historic quarter of Plymouth.”
