New festival bringing huge party to Plymouth in May 2020

Dust off your wellies and prepare the glitter - The Weekender Festival is coming to Plymouth.
The Weekender is set to take festival-goers on a journey through the best in underground electronic music as well as commercial dance hits over two jam-packed days.
Headline acts Becky Hill, Roger Sanchez, Danny Howard and wAFF will descend on the fields of Plymouth for an unmissable events.
If that wasn't enough, there are two huge after parties planned and a funfair.
In line with the early May bank holiday, The Weekender will take place on 8 to 9 May 2020.
Three of the city's stand-out music promoters have joined forces to launch this eagerly anticipated festival and provide a platform for Plymouth’s bubbling music scene to flourish in full colour.
The team will make a point of supporting the local communities economy by using locally sourced equipment, DJs, staff and infrastructure.
Boasting an easily accessible site for locals and out of towners alike, it has all the attributes of a classic UK festival weekend - lush green fields, local food vendors, the best locally crafted beers and funfair, all set against the soundtrack of some of the most exciting talent the UK dance music scene has to offer.
Friday sees cutting-edge brand Casa take over the main stage, with a blistering line-up of underground DJs. From the globe-trotting tech house titan wAFF and Radio 1’s Danny Howard to the much hyped Latmun.
Meanwhile, the second stage will be all things drum & bass with Hospital legend High Contrast alongside DJ Hazard, and Kanine and Bristol Disco dons Crazy P holding it down out in the woods.
Saturday takes things up a gear for the masses, with a headline set from the biggest voice in UK dance music - Becky Hill and the legendary Roger Sanchez closing the main stage, alongside mixmaster Jaguar Skills and man-of-the-moment Riton.
For the bass-heads, Benny L and Shapes will be rocking stage two, with a very special headliner to be announced. Meanwhile, the Casa residents are joined by special guest Sosa for a Saturday session in the Woods.
