Las Iguanas in Plymouth reopening this October
24th September 2021
Las Iguanas in Plymouth will open on Monday 18 October at its new location in The Barcode, with a brand new Autumn/Winter 2021 menu.
This updated menu will include Plymouth’s favourite Brazilian dish, Bahian Coconut Chicken. This dish has been the preferred choice amongst Plymouthians since 2015 and will be brought back to the city at the restaurant's new city centre location.
The Las Iguanas team are also bringing back some other popular Latin American selections including the Cuban Sandwich, garlicky Gambas prawns, Albondigas lamb meatballs and the super-spicy Dominican Goat Curry.
The vegan offering is bigger than ever, and the new Autumn menu will introduce “All Plant No Goat Curry”, a jackfruit alternative packed full of all the same spices and heat as the traditional version, as part of the Veggie, Vegan and Plant-based menu.
The popular 'Happy Hour, Happy Days', 2-for-1 cocktails offer will be making a return and sharing cocktails are back too, including a new Strawberry Daiquiri Grande served in a giant punch bowl, as well a range of Carbon-Friendly cocktails; with every purchase helping to plant trees in South America
The new restaurant will create 30 new jobs at its location in The Barcode with works already underway to showcase a unique new look.
Ed Williams, Las Iguanas’ Operations Manager said: "We’re delighted to announce the return of Las Iguanas in Plymouth with a new site at The Barcode. The new restaurant will bring the flavours of Latin American to the city centre, which will be complimented by the interiors. The restaurant design will capture the lushness of rainforests alongside vibrant feature lighting, accompanied by a soundtrack of sassy Latin tunes. The new outside terrace will be the perfect spot to relax and watch the world go by whilst enjoying tapas and a cocktail.
"We have been overwhelmed with the positive response from the people of Plymouth. We have missed them while we’ve been away and look forward to welcoming everyone back to our new location."
