Competitor Line-Up Revealed for the 2026 British Firework Championships

The wait is over! Six of the UK’s top firework companies have been selected to light up Plymouth Hoe at this year’s British Firework Championships, a spectacular event that draws more than 100,000 visitors to Britain’s Ocean City every summer.

Following a draw, three competitors will take to the skies from Mount Batten Pier on Wednesday 12 August, with the remaining three teams showcasing their explosive creativity the following evening, Thursday 13 August. A reserve company has also been chosen, ready to step in if needed.

Celebrating over 25 years of breathtaking displays, the British Firework Championships continues to be one of Plymouth’s most anticipated summer highlights, bringing colour, competition, and community spirit to the waterfront.

The firing order is as follows: 

Wednesday 12 August: 

1. Phoenix Fireworks Ltd
2. Smart Pyrotechnics Ltd
3. G2 Fireworks

Thursday 13 August:

1. Nemisis Pyrotechnics Ltd
2. AJ Pyrotechnics Ltd
3. The Fireworkers Ltd

Reserve company:Electrify Pyrotechnics Ltd

In 2025, Skyburst The Firework Company won the Championships, while BBB Fireworks were named winners of the Young People's Choice Awards.
