Following on from the recording and filming of their latest album at Abbey Road Studios with special guest, pianist Leo Genovese, Jim Hart's Cloudmakers Trio are also delivering a workshop to demonstrate how the music was put together and how the musicians work and interact with one another, traversing the space between written and improvised music.
As well as an opportunity to play along and improvise in a real-time context and plenty of opportunity for Q&A, there will also be a focus on how the music was recorded and captured on film with discussions in person with bandleader, composer and producer Jim Hart, as well as with bassist and label owner/executive producer Michael Janisch and drummer Dave Smith.
A perfect insight into the world of playing, improvising, composing and recording for musicians of all kinds.
The workshop will run from 12-3pm.
Tickets are £10 per person with students free.
