About us

The moving biopic of John Treleaven, who left his home in Cornwall to become an international opera star. This beautiful and emotional story explores what drives an artist and what sacrifices are made to achieve excellence.

John's music career started in the Porthleven town band and choir, before his superb voice was recognised by a local pianist who overheard him singing as he swam across the harbour. He went on to become one of the most sought-after tenors of his generation and is renowned for his Wagnerian performances, in particular the role of Cornish hero Tristan of Wagner's Tristan & Isolde.
