About us

Jeffrey Palmer (countertenor) and Riko Higuma (piano) present music from their first full-length album together, centered on the theme of beauty. Spanning several centuries and genres, they will perform an assortment of arias, art songs, folk music and solo works that provide their own unique reflection on the idea of beauty. Jeffrey has performed as a recitalist across the United States, Ireland, Austria, China and the UK. He has collaborated with jeweller Erickson Beamon on four New York City fashion week shows and has lent his voice to presentations with visual artists including Andres Serrano, Leo Villareal and Joan Snyder. Musical collaborators have included violinist Timothy Fain and cellist Danny Bensi, with whom he can be heard on the soundtrack of the 2016 Netflix documentary Amanda Knox. Jeffrey is a former student of Helen Porter's, before relocating to New York where he now lives. Riko's collaborations include Aaron Rosand, Neil Rosenshein and Cho-Liang Lin. Performance highlights include Ottawa Chamberfest, The Edinburgh Festival, a nine-city tour of China, a South American recital tour with Ray Chen and numerous radio and TV broadcasts. Riko teaches piano at the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
