About us
Taking inspiration from two talks presented to the Royal Institution of Great Britain on the "Splash of a Drop" in 1894 and "The Study of Splashes" (1908) by A M Worthington, Headmaster and Professor of Physics at the Royal Naval Engineering College, Devonport; this exhibition is based around his inquiry into the fundamental properties of a drop of liquid. In conducting a series of experiments examining both the size of a drop in relation to its height and rate of fall the work is based on an investigation into Worthington's methodology of repetition and precision to document "The Journey of the Drop" – exploring its momentum, transformation and energy.
