About us

The Caraneal is a long - established, family-run guesthouse where you are assured of a warm welcome from proprietors Max & Veronica Crosland.

We are ideally situated just off the seafront, opposite West Hoe Park, with not-too-distant views of Smeaton’s Tower standing proudly on the Hoe, within easy walking distance of the City and the Barbican. If the purpose of your visit to Plymouth is a trip to the theatre or to see a show both Plymouth Pavilions and Theatre Royal are only a few minutes walk away.

Our close proximity to Brittany Ferries Terminal will give you those precious extra minutes in bed if you have an early sailing!

All rooms are en-suite with 2 on the ground floor, ensuring easy access for our “less mobile” guests.

The Caraneal offers quality Bed & Breakfast.
Our accommodation suits both business trips and relaxing breaks away with a loved one.

You will be warmly received from the minute you walk through the doors, we aim to make your stay at The Caraneal both memorable and pleasurable.
