Hoe Park House is a spacious and characterful Victorian townhouse in the heart of Plymouth, perfectly placed for exploring the city, Devon and neighbouring Cornwall. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac beside Plymouth’s historic Hoe, the house is just a short walk from the Barbican, waterfront, Sutton Harbour, shops, restaurants, cafés and bars.
Sleeping up to 10 guests, Hoe Park House is ideal for families, groups of friends and longer stays. The house is arranged over four floors and has four generous bedrooms, with two super-king beds, one king and one twin, together with a comfortable sofa bed in the second sitting room. There are two modern bathrooms, including a family bathroom with bath and rainfall shower and a second bathroom with a large walk-in rainfall shower.
The bright double reception room retains original Victorian features including high ceilings, sash windows, ceiling roses, cornicing and pocket doors, while providing plenty of space for everyone to relax together. The large open-plan kitchen and dining area is designed for sociable stays, with extensive cooking facilities, two fridge-freezers, two ovens, an induction hob and dishwasher. A separate utility room provides a washing machine and tumble-drier.
A private furnished courtyard leads directly from the dining area and provides an outdoor space for morning coffee or an evening drink. The house also has a dedicated workspace, Smart TVs, Wi-Fi and everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay.
Plymouth Hoe is moments from the house, with views across Plymouth Sound towards the Devon coastline and neighbouring Cornwall. The historic Barbican and Mayflower Steps, marking the area from which the Pilgrims set sail for America aboard the Mayflower in 1620, are within easy walking distance.
Beyond the city, Hoe Park House makes a convenient base for discovering the wider South West. Dartmoor, the South Devon coast and countryside are within easy reach, while Cornwall can be reached by road or by scenic passenger ferry across Plymouth Sound. The South West Coast Path, beaches, watersports, golf courses, historic houses and gardens are all accessible from Plymouth.
Hoe Park House has its own private parking space, around 100 metres from the property, with additional paid on-street parking nearby.
