Category: Friday FiveThings to do

As we head into the weekend with the weather looking pretty bleak, but with indoor venues having now reopened, here's our pick of the top five things to try this weekend - inside!

But remember you'll need to plan ahead and book in advance.

Show your competitive streak

Get competitive and challenge the family to a game of adventure golf! Paradise Island Adventure Golf situated in The Barcode has become a firm family favourite here in Plymouth. Take on twists, turns, humps and bumps as you explore the treacherous swamps that await you. Feeling brave? Venture onwards, through the deadly jungle in search of your second mission.

Invite some spice into your life

Food is at the heart of the Turtle Bay experience – just as it’s central to the heart and soul of Caribbean culture.  Dishes are brimming with spicy hues and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavours and we absolutely love dining here.

Turtle Bay’s signature dishes include their famous jerk chicken and curry goat, but there is plenty for all palettes to choose from including a new burger menu, salad selection and a great collection of dishes for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free diners.

They also serve up some of the best cocktails you can get in Plymouth, and with 2-4-1 happy hour every Friday and Saturday 10am - 7pm and 10pm - close, what are you waiting for - chin chin!

Burn some energy

Stay dry and challenge yourself at a world class climbing wall at The Climbing Hangar, with an inclusive and friendly atmosphere that's as much fun to chill out in as it is to climb.

Take a steam train adventure

South Devon Railway is one of Devon's and the West County's best loved tourist attractions. Enjoy seven miles of the former Great Western Railway branch line, built in 1872, which runs along the stunning valley of the River Dart between Buckfastleigh and Totnes. A wonderful all day, all weather attraction for families and people of all ages.

Indulge in sweet treats

Surround yourself in sweet treats and scrumptious hot chocolates at The Barbican's popular Chocaccino  - reopening Friday 21 May!

Why not try one of their yummy salted caramel pot? Delicious!
