Plymouth Christmas Market 

Instead of a traditional sit-down meal, the Plymouth Christmas Market can offer a lively, festive alternate activity. It is the perfect opportunity to try some tasty local treats, kick-start your holiday shopping, and, bond with your colleagues without the formalities of a conventional Christmas party! The Christmas Market is open from 27 November to 21 December in the city centre. It also has a new look this year, there are 60 wooden chalets, a traditional carousel, German Bar, giant snowglobe, or jump aboard the big wheel for panoramic views. 

                                                

National Trust

Embrace the Christmas spirit with a wholesome afternoon at one of the National Trusts near Plymouth, such as Saltram or Buckland Abbey. These beautiful historic estates often host special festive events. This year, Saltram is running The Gruffalo's Child - a magical trail through the woods featuring games, challenges, and plenty of Christmas magic along the way. You can also visit Father Christmas in his grotto or enjoy seasonal food and drink in the winter courtyard or the Chapel Tearoom. It’s a perfect way to soak up the festive atmosphere with family and friends.

      

Market Hall

The Market Hall’s immersive dome is the perfect place for a more relaxing Christmas party. Offering a variety of experiences including yoga, sound baths, and, screenings, this is the ideal way to decompress and enjoy spending time with friends in a more peaceful atmosphere.

    

Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre

If you prefer the great outdoors, head to Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre. Enjoy a range of activities, including sailing, stand-up paddle boarding, and kayaking, all while taking in stunning views of The Barbican and the Hoe. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the season in nature.

If you are looking for something a little unique, Plymouth’s Winter Wonderland in Central Park offers an immersive Christmas experience, open from 15 Nov to 6 Jan. With plenty of activities such as a real ice rink, Après ski bar, and numerous festive food stalls, this is the perfect way to get into the holiday mood.
