The Centre commands stunning views looking out towards Plymouth’s historic Barbican area, the Hoe and across to Mount Edgcumbe. It is perfectly situated on the tidal estuary of The Sound, making it an ideal, and safe, location for the thousands of people, of all ages, that use the Centre each year – whether for recreational or professional use.

The Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre has a small, friendly, dedicated and highly experienced team, always on hand to ensure that visitors have an enjoyable time in a safe and welcoming environment. The Centre prides itself on its exemplary health and safety record.

The Centre runs two-hour try sessions in kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding which are the perfect opportunity for you to try something new. The Lookout

Perhaps you enjoy walking the South West Coast Path – fantastic, The Lookout at the Centre is situated right on the path – enjoy take-away food and drink and take a seat outside the Centre with superb views of Plymouth Sound and waterfront or continue on your walk along the Mount Batten peninsula.

The Centre are proud to be one of Plymouth’s Plastic Free Pioneers and are continually working hard to reduce, and remove, single use plastic.
