Win a Feed the Turtle Experience at the National Marine Aquarium

Get your hands on an unforgettable experience for all the family this February Half Term in Plymouth. 

We've teamed up with the National Marine Aquarium to give you the opportunity to win a Feed the Turtle experience for four people at the UK's largest aquarium. 

Entries must be made via the form at the bottom of this page by 12pm on Thursday 12 February. 

The Prize 

Step behind the scenes and experience what it’s really like to care for one of the Aquarium's most charismatic residents, Friday, the Green Sea Turtle! This hands-on activity gives you an exclusive look into the daily routine of the aquarists as you help prepare Friday’s nutritious lunch in the food preparation area. 

The Feed the Turtle Experience for four people includes: 

• An introduction to the food preparation area and how the aquarium feeds its 5000 animals.  
• Preparation of Friday’s tasty lunch, participants 18+ are only permitted to use the knives. 
• An overview of  seagrass work and the link to Turtle’s natural diet of seagrass in the wild. 
• Animal introduction with an Aquarium Supervisor in front of the Atlantic Ocean Exhibit. 
• Explanation and populating of the ‘Feeding Record Sheet’ after weighing Friday’s food.  
• A demonstration of the equipment used to feed Friday and the importance of ‘operant conditioning’. 
• 15 minutes feeding Friday!
• A day’s visit to the Aquarium for all participants.
