Since 2022, Destination Plymouth has proudly partnered with Green Tourism to position Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City as a leading destination in sustainable tourism. We’re committed to supporting local businesses in becoming more environmentally responsible, helping to protect our ocean and natural surroundings for future generations.

In March 2019, Plymouth declared a Climate Emergency and pledged to become carbon neutral by 2030. Tackling climate change is one of the city’s top priorities — and your business can play a vital role in this journey by joining the Green Tourism accreditation scheme.
