Celebrate Jane Austen's 250th Birthday at Central Library!
Step back in time and join us in celebrating the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth. We will be dressed in our finest Regency attire so come and enjoy a day filled with literary charm, creative crafts, and delightful activities inspired by Austen's beloved works.
All-day activities include:
Readings from Pride and Prejudice
Jane Austen-themed crafts and games
A self-guided Jane Austen trail
Letter-writing craft station
Jane Austen board game for all ages

Readings from Pride and Prejudice: 10am to 10:45am, 1pm to 1.45pm, 2pm to 2.45pm
Jane Austen rhymetime: 11am
Children's craft – Make a bonnet, fan or top hat: From 3.30pm
Regency dancing and refreshments: From 4.15pm
