About us

The Sopranos are the creation of Chris Pearce with fellow reeds player Andy Leggett, plus Dave Deakin on trombone backed by a fine rhythm section. They play an eclectic selection of music from 'New Orleans' style traditional jazz to more modern styles of jazz.

All are fine musicians; Chris has played with many of the legendary American jazzmen, Andy has shared the stage with all manner of stars from Jasper Carrot to Les Dawson! He was musical director of the vocal trio 'Sweet Substitute' for five years and latterly played in the 'Hot Five' band run in Germany by Rod Mason, a great Plymouth favourite for many years.

Altogether a highly entertaining six piece band.
