About us
Running from Monday to Friday, Rangers Academy is a full week packed with practical activities, lectures and animal encounters; giving you a range of exciting new skills (perfect for adding to your CV)!
The maximum intake for each course is 12 students, ensuring a much more personal experience, giving you the chance to get up close and hands on with some of the species in our collection. – Open to students aged 13 to 18 – Five days of animal management experience – Individual reference from Zoo management – Get a certificate of your achievement 2026 Dates: 3rd – 7th August 10th – 14th August Specific date options are available when you purchase this product.
Please ensure you choose the dates you want – thank you. T&Cs This course is non-refundable. If you are no longer able to attend, please email education@dartmoorzoo.co.uk to see if it can be moved to an alternative Rangers Academy date. The only exception is if the zoo needs to close due to extreme weather, where guests would be notified within 24 hours, and rescheduling or refunding will be actioned.
This course is open to children 13-18 years of age. Dartmoor Zoo accepts no liability for loss or damage of personal belongings whilst on site. Consent forms must be completed ahead of the first day.
We cannot take responsibility for your child without this information being provided. These will be sent out 2 weeks prior to the event. Attendees are advised to wear appropriate outdoor footwear, as our site can often be muddy and uneven in places.
Please also bring appropriate clothing for outside activities in all weathers. If the minimum requirement of 6 spaces is not met, alternative dates will be provided. If you require assistance in getting to the top of our drive, please notify a member of our gate team who can direct you to accessibility parking outside of our Jaguar Restaurant.
