Join us this Friday 28th August for an unforgettable summer's evening at Dartmoor Zoo and experience some after hours magic. Enjoy relaxed vibes, a BBQ with delicious options available, chilled drinks to quench your thirst, zoo tours & animal talks where you can learn about our incredible residents, live music to dance to (or gently sway if that's more your style!) and end the evening with a gorgeous sunset and gooey s'mores over the fire pit.

Itinerary: 17:30 - Guest arrival and wristband allocation

18:00 - First wristband - Zoo tour & animal talk

18:30 - Second wristband - Zoo tour & animal talk

19:30 - 20:30 - BBQ 19:30 - 21:30 - Acoustic live music session and S'mores over the fire pit Spaces for this event are limited, so we strongly suggest booking in advance.

T&Cs * Tickets are non-refundable except for adverse weather conditions. In the case of Zoo closure due to weather, all tickets holders will be contacted directly a minimum of 24 hours in advance and a full refund will be given. * Under 3s receive free entry for this event. * Children must be supervised at all times.

Dartmoor Zoo will not allow any unsupervised children during this event due to health and safety reasons. * Parking is free at the bottom of the drive and limited accessibility spaces are available at the top of our driveway. If you require an accessible parking space, please let us know as soon as possible - these are first come, first serve.

Please note there are some pathways around the Zoo can be quite challenging for wheelchair/scooter users.

We have mobility scooters for hire which can be booked in advance of your visit. * Some of our grounds can be uneven and rocky in places, please wear appropriate footwear. * Please notify us in advance of any allergies that may impact your food options during the BBQ. * Bar sales are strictly 18+, so please ensure you have appropriate ID with you.

Road Directions

Arriving from the A38

If you're arriving from the A38, take the Deep Lane turn off signed for Plympton, follow the signs for 'Wildlife Park' from the roundabout at Chaddlewood. This will take you past Langage Business Park to Sparkwell village, which we are just on the far side of.

Once you get to Sparkwell, drive through the village and you'll find us approximately 300 yards further on.

Arriving from Plympton

Continue on the B3416 towards the Chaddlewood roundabout, then go straight ahead and follow the signs to Sparkwell.

Public Transport Directions

The 59 bus service stops outside the zoo main entrance.

Route 59 operates from Monday to Saturday. There is no service on Sundays and bank holidays. The 59 leaves Royal Parade (stop A13) in Plymouth City Centre takes around 30 minutes, stopping at Sparkwell village and then right outside the zoo entrance. It takes approximately 45 minutes in the opposite direction from the George Park and Ride outside of Plymouth.
