Live escape rooms

If you’re up for a challenge, try one of Plymouth’s indoor escape rooms – a fun, fast‑paced option for couples, families or friends on a rainy day.

At Escapism Plymouth, near The Barcode, you’ll find a range of themed rooms filled with puzzles and clues to solve in 60 minutes. Or head to TimberVault's Escape Rooms in the city centre for adventures inspired by the Wild West and Sherlock Holmes. Both venues can be booked in advance and guarantee a dry, exciting outing whatever the weather.

Arts, culture and theatre

Rain can’t dampen Plymouth’s creative spirit. The city boasts a thriving indoor arts and theatre scene all year round.

Theatre Royal Plymouth hosts major West End productions, dramas, comedies and family shows, while the Barbican Theatre offers smaller performances and workshops in an atmospheric waterfront setting.

Art lovers can explore independent galleries around the Barbican and Royal William Yard, plus contemporary spaces like KARST in Millbay. Check What’s On listings to see the latest performances and exhibitions.
