Family Friendly Attractions

Where better than Plymouth for fantastic family fun! It’s a great destination for a family break, with city centre attractions plus fresh air and many open spaces to explore.

The city's best family attractions include the National Marine Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the UK, The Mayflower Museum, telling the story of the Pilgrims journey across the Atlantic in 1620 and the outdoor swimming pool Tinside Lido - a great family spot on a hot summer's day. 

Don't miss a trip to The Box while you're here. It's the city's newest museum and art gallery and has lots for the whole family to enjoy, including a full-size woolly mammoth replica! 

There are many more attractions based in and around the city including beautiful beaches, historic parks and gardens and trails for the little ones to run around.

Don’t forget, Plymouth hosts some of the most iconic events in the South West that the kids would definitely enjoy, including Pirates Weekend, Armed Forces Day, British Firework Championships and West End Carnival!
