Happy Birthday!45 Southside Gallery are celebrating their 10th year of business
Founded in 2009, the aptly named 45 Southside Gallery is located on Southside Street in the heart of Plymouth's historical Barbican.
From the outset the gallery aimed to support the creative community, showcasing hand crafted work by established and emerging artist from around the South West. Today the gallery specialises in ceramics, glass and metal work but also wood, textiles and mixed media. There is a fabulous variety of work that changes frequently throughout the year. In addition, they hold temporary feature exhibitions in spring and autumn.
Gallery owner Mathias Landwehr says: "We love what we do, we support all sorts of artist from Devon and Cornwall and feel it is really important for the general public to easily access the abundance of talent here in the South West, our website has lots of information about all the artist and their work and an online shop! The gallery is basically a grown up sweet shop full of yummy things to feast your eyes upon."
For the 10th anniversary 45 Southside Gallery would like to show their appreciation to their fantastic and loyal customers for supporting them in the past 10 years and the future by holding a bank holiday 10% discount promotion on Sunday the 5th and Monday the 6th of May. There is something for everyone's taste, so don't miss out!
