About us

As part of the launch weekend for 'John Lyons: Carnivalesque', we're hosting a poetry slam for Plymouth-based poets to share their words in a relaxed environment.

Why not come along? If you're a poet or spoken word performer, who has a cultural link to the theme of carnival, there may be a few spots on the day (first-come first-served)! Please make yourself known to our compere extraordinaire Mimi Jones when you arrive to find out about availability. Mimi is a neuroqueer activist and former Young City Laureate for Plymouth. Poets and spoken word performers from all backgrounds are welcome.
