Host Galleries marks 2nd Anniversary with 'Cities in Bloom' Exhibition

Two of the UK's leading artists are to star in a new show at Plymouth's most contemporary art gallery.

Internationally-acclaimed Edward Waite, and Totnes-based Leanne Christie are both set to unveil new work at Host Galleries in March.

Both artists are creating new collections for the show – which marks Host's second anniversary in Plymouth City Centre – and runs from March 21 until April 5.

Waite's urban landscapes are collected all over the world and were the star attraction at Host's opening show two years ago. He will be presenting a "stripped back" collection of 3-D resin pieces.

Christie, the revered floral artist, will showcase her popular floral creations with a new twist.

The 'Cities in Bloom' show will kick off with the chance to meet and see both artists at work in a 'live studio' at the gallery in Whimple Street from midday to 3pm on Saturday 21st March.

The 'Cities in Bloom' exhibition is sponsored by Plymouth firm, Synergy Chartered Accountants, exhibition show times are 10am to 5pm on Monday to Saturday and 11am to 3pm on Sundays.

Visit the Host Galleries website for more about all the exhibitions and artists at the gallery and the new framing service. You can also pick up a free glossy brochure from the gallery and see the very latest information and photos on the Instagram and Facebook pages.
