About us

To accompany the screenings of the film The Nettle Dress, we are hosting a craft workshop with Vicky Putler of Flax Project CIC on Saturday 28 October.

Learn all about processing nettles for fibre, we will talk through the different methods of retting the stems and extracting fibre while you try your hand at it.

We will also make nettle cordage and hand spin some of this beautiful fine fibre. It's slow work and not easy but extremely satisfying and meditative.

Start time: 11:30am

Workshop duration: approx. 2 hours.

15 participants maximum. Advance booking required.
