About us

Join our Culture Club as they take over the day's activities at The Box on Saturday 17 August. Come along for storytelling, a creative writing workshop, a Caribbean food offer in our Kitchen & Bar, music, slide shows and dominoes! Meet the team, find out about our Windrush Project, how Culture Club are engaging with The Box, and how you can get involved.

Here's the full schedule for what promises to be a great day:
• 10.30am, 12pm and 1.30pm: Storytelling with Abimbola Aloa
• 1pm-3pm: Creative Writing Workshop with Helen Thomas, responding to our The Time is Always Now exhibition
• 3pm-4pm: Music with Bee Jarvis

Throughout the day you can also enjoy:
• Mother Country II - a slide show exploration of Caribbean life and the Windrush Generation with Daryl Codrington
• Caribbean-inspired music
• Dominoes - a Caribbean favourite
• Vox pops with Léonie Prentice
• A Taste of the Caribbean specials menu by guest chef Rudolph Archer in The Box Kitchen & Bar
