Working in partnership Plymouth Music Education Hub, dBs Music Plymouth are offering free DJ Workshop Sessions for anyone aged between 13 and 16 years old. The Saturday sessions are designed to give a fun and engaging overview of modern DJ techniques. Sessions will be based in production studios at dBs Music's Elizabeth Court campus.
Students will get to use the latest industry standard DJ and production equipment, including Pioneer CDJs and Controllers and Allen and Heath DJ mixers. At the end of the course students will be able to perform their own DJ set.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DATES MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE IF MINIMUM NUMBERS FOR COURSE ARE NOT MET.
Entry Requirements No specific requirements but a simple understanding of music. This course is not available to current students of dBs Music.
Materials and Equipment Enthusiasm and a desire to learn, a memory stick to take away mixes and work.
What to Wear Comfortable clothing.
Drop off and pick up: You can pull up at the front entrance which is on Higher Lane and drop off anyone who is attending. Upon return please note main reception may be locked as the workshops are carried out elsewhere in the building. These will be opened as close to midday as possible. If you urgently need to get hold of someone please call our main number 03333 442237 but make sure you input extension 2018852 when prompted. This will put you through to the duty technician who will be supporting the workshops in the building who can come and unlock reception.

FAQs
What time should I arrive?
Please try to arrive approximately 10 mins before the start of the session as this will enable a prompt start.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Attendees must be aged between 13 and 16 on the first day of the course.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We are based in Plymouth City Centre so any central parking is within walking distance. If you are dropping your son or daughter off you can bring them right to the front door which is on Higher Lane.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring a USB memory stick with you; this means you can take any work or mixes home with you.
