About us

The photographs of Jem Southam are part of a long history of artists engaging with the natural world.

Many artists have looked to science to inform their work. While historically, there were scientists whose only entry into the field was through artistic practice.

Listen as Terah Walkup, Art Curator at The Box, Plymouth explores this changing dialogue around art and science from ancient times to the present day.
