About us

Is your new year’s resolution to enjoy a healthier lifestyle? ‘Mayflower 400 - New Year, New Me’ organised by Argyle Community Trust and Barnardos Plymouth is hosting a free wellbeing event in Plymouth Guildhall on Tuesday 14 January from 10.30am-12noon. Offering sports, arts, crafts, music, singing and reading, together with information on volunteering, training and employment, the fun-filled morning is for anyone wanting to make 2020 their healthiest and best year yet.

Almost 20 organisations are expected to take part and will be offering a great mix of fun activities, from ‘tiny tots’ football sessions with Plymouth Argyle to dental health advice with puppets. There will also be BMI assessments, disability employment advisers, and health visitors explaining brain development by encouraging children and their parents to make ‘neurons’ out of pipe-cleaners! A baby play area will be provided, and partners will be offering a variety of goody bags.

Don’t miss your chance to keep on track with your healthy new year’s resolutions and have fun and meet new people at the same time.

A full list of participants and their activities will be posted on the Facebook page @barnardosplymouth later this week, otherwise call Karen on 07740 501122 or email karen.marlton@barnardos.org.uk
