About us

Are you interested in studying an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree with Plymouth College of Art? Would you like to start this year, but feel like you need a confidence boost, or want to try a few different (or new) creative techniques beforehand?

Then join us for this free three-week Making Change course. This course has been designed to support you starting with Plymouth College of Art on October 18th 2021.

This Making Change course is open to ALL ages and will give you an opportunity to try an art school experience. During the course you will meet different course leaders, get support with your portfolio and student finance. If you decide to study with us you can have your interview and the opportunity to start your degree straight away.

You will learn how to work with different painting and printing techniques, test your skills as a fine artist, and get hands-on with materials, all while building a portfolio.
With one-to-one support, advice and help putting together a portfolio and completing your application, alongside plenty of exciting artistic exploration, these courses will help you discover your creative potential. Did we mention it's FREE?

You don't need to be the next Van Gogh to take part, you just have to bring your enthusiasm and meet the following criteria:

At the start of the course I am aged 18- 70
I'm eligible to work in the UK (i.e. I have a National Insurance number)
I am interested in studying at the college in Autumn 2021
I want to explore higher education opportunities at an undergraduate or postgraduate level
I am eligible for at least two years of student funding or I am looking at self-funding a Higher education course More information on if you are eligible can be found at https://www.gov.uk/student-finance/who-qualifies If you are unsure if you are eligible we can discuss this with you once you have applied
I am able to attend at least five of the six sessions (see dates below)
