About us
Trad influenced Country and Americana sounds from Mark J. Lee..Mark J. Lee is a Devon born songwriter and performing musician. Steeped in traditional country and old time sensibilities. Resonant, raw tenor vocals and Appalachian Folk and Country style guitar over sparsely arranged around cinematic, haunting yet humorous lyrics are the formula for his charmingly bleak 21st century frontier ballads. Influenced as much by Kurt Vonnegut and Ernest Hemmingway as he is by Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams and George Jones, Lee's debut EP 'Through the Pines' is out now.
Live Mark has had the pleasure to share bills with the likes of Joshua Hedley, The Cactus Blossoms, Pat Reedy, Charlie Parr, Jack Grelle and the Corn Potato String Band and has performed shows in Morocco, Portugal and Germany as well all across the UK.
