Meet Me At The Sundial: Drawing Buses Workshop with Gabi Marcellus Temple

About us

Plymouth creative, Gabi Marcellus-Temple, invites you to a jump on, jump off drawing activity for bus passengers to come across and for the avid doodlers to book onto.

Think of a giant, co-created consequences game of doodles, based on the journeys we all take on the same bus route. Each person can draw part of a journey e.g. the bus stop, the bus from inside or outside, something along the way like a bridge or building or even an event they took the bus to, then they pass on the sketch book to someone else and continue.

Timings

Gabi will begin the workshop at Moment's Cafe (bottom of New George Street next to the Plymouth City Council Shop along from WH Smith) at 1pm on Saturday 4 February

Catch Plymouth Citybus 20A from Royal Parade at 1:30pm (drawing as we travel)

Arrive at Ivybridge Town Hall at 2:30pm

Enjoy looking round Ivybridge for an hour and talk to Gabi about the drawings at Watermark Cafe

Catch the 20A from Ivybridge at 3:35pm, arriving back at Royal Parade at 4:55pm.

Wheelchair accessible spaces on buses are limited. As Gabi is a wheelchair user, if the wheelchair space is already occupied on the 1:30pm service 20A journey, the group will be unable to travel. If this happens the workshop will move back to Moments Cafe and the group will catch a later 20A bus that day. While we appreciate this isn't ideal we can't know in advance if another wheelchair user will be travelling and we really appreciate the group having a flexible approach.
