About us

Avast me hearties! To celebrate Plymouth Pirates Weekend the Mount Batten Tower will be open this SUNDAY (18th May) with free entry from 10am until 2pm (last entry 1.30pm) - with thanks to the volunteers of the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park

Please note that due to the age and layout of the building, levels are uneven with steep, irregular steps to the top of the Tower and wheelchair access is not possible. Sensible footwear is required. Please also note that dogs are not permitted within the Tower.

Don't miss the children's Treasure Hunt around the Tower!

Please note that there is no parking is available at the Mount Batten Centre currently so please ensure you use the designated car parks on the peninsula. Alternative ways to get to the Mount Batten peninsula include the Mount Batten Ferry, bus or walking via the South West Coast Path.

As part of the successful National Lottery Heritage Fund bid for Plymouth Sound National Marine Park, the Mount Batten Tower, the Mount Batten peninsula and the Mount Batten Watersports & Activities Centre are all benefitting with improvements and enhancements to the visitor experience.
