About us
Plymouth College of Art's Young Arts programme was established in 1988. Young Arts also offers local participants the chance to join one of the National Art & Design Saturday Clubs, a UK-wide initiative - in 2019/20 there were 67 Clubs and 1,500 Club members in 52 locations nationwide. National Art & Design Saturday Clubs provide members with an array of transferable skills that are greatly sought after by employers in the UK's thriving creative sector and beyond.The combination of imaginative thinking and technical skills that is at the heart of every Art & Design Club's programme is the foundation for a diverse range of careers, including animation, architecture, photography, illustration, graphics and fine art.
We are accepting applications NOW for a 25 September 2021 start. The first session will be an online welcome and introduction to the course and live studio based sessions will start the following week on Saturday 2 October.
The course runs on a Saturday morning 11.30am-1.30pm (times vary occasionally) and sessions will be mostly in our studios at Palace Court with a few sessions online, and, on location.
