About us

Escape escapism through this new live work – a vivid, multi-musical opera about greed, aspiration and freedom.

'The View From Behind the Futuristic Rose Trellis' enthusiastically sings and dances its way through inner and outer realities, sifting through its characters to reveal moments of golden clarity shared by all.

Are you really here?
How do you know you are?
Are you looking for confirmation from the person sitting next to you?
Do they know you?
How do they recognise you?

Come and experience this colourful, comi-tragic take on the cycle of life featuring sixteen new multi-genre musical compositions across three acts.

"This comic opera, in the tradition of an English ballad or German singspiele, features solo odes, songs, ensembles, chorus and drama, interspersed with dialogue……This is art that brings the subjects down to earth and engages with the everyday."
Niki Russell, Art Monthly

'The View From Behind The Futuristic Rose Trellis' is written and performed by artists and musicians Ravioli Me Away (Alice Theobald, Sian Dorrer and Rosie Ridgeway), with special guests Tom Hirst, Dean Rodney Jr, Onyeka Igwe, Eothen Stearn, Siobhan Mooney, Dan Mitchell, Ben Wallers, Scott Bradbury and Victor Jakeman.

A relaxed matinee performance will take place from 2.30pm.
An evening performance will take place from 7.30pm
