For the best part of a decade Plymouth Comedy Club has been bringing the best and brightest from all across the comedy world. As much joy as bringing a new face to the Athenaeum can bring there's a lot to be said for being able to bring back some of the most popular acts to tread the boards over the years. In May we see two of our most requested acts come back and a debut for a rising star that's surely on his way to being a household name.

Headline act Vikki Stone nearly found herself being questioned for damaging a listed building after she blew the roof off at the Athenaeum. More than just a fantastic comedian, more than just an incredible musician... This award winning artist has been wowing folk all across the nation with her nimble fingers and even more nimble wit. A rare chance to see Vikki as she's touring the UK with her orchestral work "Concerto For Comedian & Orchestra" and is in huge demand.

Support is provided by Noel James, the off-kilter Welshman with a rare gift for the absurd. Noel's one liners and observations brought the house down at Plymouth Comedy Club's Christmas special a few years back and will no doubt do the same again.

The bill is closed out by Chris Washington, a postman turned comedian that took the Edinburgh Festival by storm in 2017 with his debut solo show "Dream Big (Within Reason)" landing him a best newcomer nomination in the LastMinute Comedy Awards. Down to earth, everyman with a gentle manner and a charm all of his own.

The show will be held together by resident MC Chris Brooker and ticket holders will also receive a wristband allowing them free entry into the Popworld club night afterwards. Not Chris though, he's too old for all that noise.
