About us

Formed in 2009, this two-trombone quintet was the brainchild of Kevin Grenfell. Kevin feels there is a place for this type of high quality entertainment on the jazz club and festival circuit, which seems to be the case as Slide by Slide was nominated "Best festival Newcomer" to celebrate its first appearance in 2011 at Marlborough Jazz and Blues Festival

The texture and timbre of Kevin Grenfell and Richard Leach's individual playing styles give their repertoire a depth and tone that's sure to please, with titles ranging from the traditional songbook through to the contemporary. The players generate a great rapport with the audience.

Whether dancing, listening or singing along, Slide By Slide has something for everyone.
