About us

The Plymouth Philharmonic Choir's 50th season begins with a performance of Vaughan Williams' A Sea Symphony at Plymouth Guildhall.

The huge scale of this work evokes the great power of the oceans themselves, the music sometimes as lively as the high seas and at others rocking gently like a lullaby.

The choir will be joined by soprano Catherine Hamilton and baritone Julian Rippon. Parry's Blest Pair of Sirens and Elgar's Sea Pictures complete the programme.
