About us

Haydn's Creation produced such a reaction at its first public performance in 1799 that the orchestra had to stop playing for several minutes. Plymouth Philharmonic Choir will hope to produce the same sense of awe when they perform Creation on Sunday 1 December at 7.30pm at Plymouth Guildhall.

The Phil is very fortunate to welcome back internationally renowned tenor Neil Jenkins as soloist for the evening, and will sing from Neil's new English edition of Creation.

Soprano Catherine Hamilton and bass Darren Jeffery will join Neil Jenkins and conductor Christopher Fletcher on the podium. Tickets are £17 in advance, £19 on the door and £5 under 16s and students. Available online at www.plymouthphilchoir.org; from Mainly Stationery, 9 Duke Street, Tavistock and The Framing Centre, 83 Hyde Park Road, Plymouth.
