About us

Join POCO – (formerly the University of Plymouth Orchestra) for an evening of The Best of British Classics, a concert celebrating the richness and variety of British classical music.

Our concert will include much-loved concert favourites (Ralph Vaughan William's Greensleeves and Eric Coates' Calling All Workers). We'll also be highlighting some lesser known works by British composers which have a distinct Westcountry flavour (Ethel Smythe's The Wreckers, Gustav Holst's Somerset Rhapsody, and Clive Richardson's Beachcomber). Tickets are free, but donations towards Orchestra costs are welcome.
